Welcome To Medlars Bed and Breakfast on the Isle of Wight
A very pretty small country house on the outskirts of Yarmouth, Medlars is within walking distance (10 to 15 minutes) of the town centre.
There are interesting small shops and a variety of good pubs and small restaurants, and one posh hotel with a good reputation for food.
Yarmouth itself is a very attractive yachting harbour on the Isle of Wight, with a ferry link to Lymington in the New Forest on the South Coast of England.
Please see - online booking pages - to check availability, or contact Liz direct on 01983 761541.
Medlars has two bedrooms which are both newly decorated with very comfortable beds and good cotton bedlinen. One has a four poster double bed and a private bathroom and looks out on the garden and the other can be either a double or twin bedded room with en-suite bathroom and outlook over fields.
Both of the bathrooms have both a bath and shower and are freshly decorated. The furnishings throughout the house are antique rather than modern and this is in-keeping with the character of the house.
Breakfast at Medlars is served in the dining room and there is fresh fruit salad and yoghurt with a variety of cereals and a full English breakfast or Continental if you prefer. Vegetarians and special diets are catered for.
There are many varied walks and cycle tracks to discover on the Isle of Wight, so exploring on foot or by bike has been a popular way to spend a holiday here since the Victorian era.
Medlars is especially well placed for touring the beautiful island countryside and also for walking along the many footpaths and cycling on the well provided cycle routes. There is good off road parking for cars and bicycles can be put in the garage.
Liz is always there to provide help with routes for your day and information on where to go and what to see.
She has two Jack Russell terriers called Mungo and Walter who are very welcoming to other dogs (and guests!) but please arrange for dogs to stay as there is a small charge and she does not take very large dogs.
If you are a passenger on the Lymington to Yarmoouth ferry and wish to be picked up Liz is always happy to help if she is available.
Detailed prices - bed and breakfast £35 - £45 per person per night double occupancy, or £45 to £55 per night single occupancy. Extra bed in the double/twin room available at £20 per night.
This B&B accommodation is completely non-smoking, and children under 5 years of age are not accepted.
